Marriage Supplements Translations

Post by mfroelich17 »

Hello!

I found the marriage records for my great-great grandmother and hoping to get some help translating the different documents that are attached with it (pages 684-693). From what I think I understand, it is the marriage of Salvatore LoBiondo and Cristina Creta in 1890 in Palermo. Salvatore is from Belmonte and Cristina is from Ventimiglia and I think both were born in 1875. I understand this is a lot of different documents and a significant amount of translations but hoping to understand what they are all talking about as they do not seem to be birth records which seemed common in other records within this book of records.

Thank you so much in advance!

Thank you so so much! Was it normal for the commune & Trovatelli to give permission for a minor to marry?

Permission for a minor to marry should be given by his or her parents. Since they are unknown, it is given by the institution to which the minor has been entrusted, i.e. the Trovatelli Institute. Not the Municipality of Palermo.
