[b]Request for Assistance in Tracing the Ancestry of Angelina Di Meglio and Raffaele Graziano Lanziotti[/b]

Dear Italian Genealogy Community,

I am researching one of my maternal ancestors, Angelina Di Meglio, who was born in 1865. According to her children’s birth records in Chile, she was French and married Raffaele Graziano Lanziotti, born in Casali del Manco (Trenta, Cosenza, Italy) in 1856. Together, they had two children in Chile:
• Guillermo Rafael Lanziotti Di Meglio, born in 1898 in Santiago, Chile.
• Fernando Lanziotti Di Meglio, born in 1894 in Talca, Chile.

I found that Angelina Di Meglio passed away on November 11, 1908, in Talcahuano, Chile, according to cemetery records. However, her death certificate is not found in the civil registry of that area.

Raffaele Lanziotti, also known as Raphael Lanziotti, owned the Hotel France in Talca, Chile, and was part of the French colony in Chile, despite being Italian. I am unsure why he identified with the French community. Additionally, Raffaele had a brother, Giovanni Lanziotti, who lived in Oued Cham/Villars, Guelma, Annaba, Algeria. Giovanni passed away in 1906 in Cayenne, French Guiana.

I have been unable to find the origin of Angelina Di Meglio, nor can I determine when or where she married Raffaele Lanziotti.

If anyone has any information or suggestions on how to trace Angelina Di Meglio’s origin or more details about her marriage to Raffaele Lanziotti, I would greatly appreciate your help.
