Hi Wonderful people,
After watching some classes on AI (rootstech). I decided to give it a go.
I had the below record that needed to be translated, so I sent it to chatgpt
https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903 ... 19&lang=en
Here is the translation ai gave me, is anyone able to just confirm the names of the parents in the above link?
Translation of the Marriage Record
Number 37
D’Alessandri Domenico & Tempone Maria Teresa
Marriage Celebration Act
In the year 1874, on the 12th day of July, in the town hall of Moliterno,
before me, Vincenzo Pansini, Mayor and Civil Registrar of this municipality of Moliterno,
and in the presence of the witnesses Gaetano Scarpitta and Domenico Santoro, appeared the future spouses:
Domenico D’Alessandri, 35 years old, born and residing in Moliterno, son of Vincenzo D’Alessandri, a farmer residing here, and of the late Maria Latona, who had been residing in this town.
Maria Teresa Tempone, 22 years old, born and residing in Moliterno, daughter of Domenico Tempone, a farmer residing here, and of the late Vincenza Longano, who had been residing in this town.
The spouses declared their intention to marry and presented the following documents:
Birth extract of the groom
Birth extract of the bride
Death extracts of the groom’s mother and the bride’s mother
Having verified that there were no impediments and that the marriage banns had been duly published, I, the Civil Registrar, pronounced in the name of the law the union in marriage between Domenico D’Alessandri and Maria Teresa Tempone.
After reading this act aloud, the parties present signed with me, except for those who declared that they could not write.
(Signatures of the witnesses and the Civil Registrar

Re: Confirm translation
As far as I can read, both mothers' surname was Latorraca

Re: Confirm translation
Whoever translated this document made a right mess of it.
Mother’s groom was Maria Latorraca
Mother’s bride is Isabella Latorraca and she is alive.
The documents presented are:
1: Groom’s birth extract born here on 14 October 1849
2: Groom’s death extract of his mother who died here on 29 November 1863
3: Death extract of Vincenza Tempone, first wife of Domenico Dalessandri who died here on 8 may 1874.
4: Bride’s birth extract born here on 27 dicembre 1851.
Interpreting and translating acts is not a guessing game.

Re: Confirm translation
Also, the day of the marriage was the 11th and not the 12th of July.
AI not up to scratch yet!!
Anyway, here follows the link to the death act of Vincenza Tempone.
Her parents were Domenico and Mariateresa Murno. #121
https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903 ... 57&lang=en
My initial thought was that Maria Teresa and Vincenza were related.
This finding doesn’t confirm or deny this theory.
Domenico marries Maria Teresa only 2 months after Vincenza’s death.
Therefore they must have been known to each other already.
