thank you

Marriage No 111 – Giuseppe Mauro Moncelli and Francesca Murolo
Promise declared in Molfetta 2 September 1838
Married in the Parish of San Gennaro on 3 September 1938

Groom: Mauro Giuseppe Moncelli, 24 yo, contadino, born and living in this town of Molfetta, son of Sergio Moncelli, deceased, and of Maria Pascelli, living herein

Bride: Francesca Murolo, 19 yo, born and living this town of Molfetta, daughter of Cosmo Murolo, a contadino, living herein and of Maria Anzione, living herein.

(While the index gives the spelling of Giuseppe’s surname as Mongelli, the record gives the spelling Moncelli. The civil record is generally taken as correct. Often though you might find letters like “c” and “g” are used interchangeably in the civil records. Further research will help establish the correct spelling.)
