determining if at end of branches of tree

Post by lindamauer »

Hello,
I have made a listing of the missing pieces of data for my 4x great grandparents.
I have exhausted all of my knowledge and connections.
Is there a fresh or compiled thought process to be sure i have turned over every leaf available to me before i determine i am at a dead end of that branch
I do not have a budget to pay a professional.

A glimpse of examples are as follows.

All of the below are supposedly in the town of Sambuca Agrigento-- guessing that is not absolute with all the moving from town to town. lol but seems volumnous to just randomly pick other towns.
I have these 5 ancestors for which i believe i have exhausted my research.
My tree is on family search for anyone willing to give me pointers or suggestions before i consider i have gathered all i can for this person.

Calogero Di Giovanna- need birth about 1776 and death before July, 1813. Family search ID G6DV-JRQ

Audenzia Ferraro Death between 1839 to 1858. Family search ID G6DV-33P

Francesco Montelione birth about - confusing either 1754 or 1784 Family search ID GVH3-H29

Antonina Femminella death after 1832. Family search ID GVH#-3PJ

Calogero Antonino Cicero birth about 1775 or 1779. Family search ID LRXH-HZ4

Vincenza Palmeri birth about 1784 or 1790. Family search ID 9JNp-LJV

I have checked for a span of about 20 years range (town- civil and church)- archdiocese website- wiki- googled- family search- ancestry-
I have NOT read through each record blindly from the beginning of a collection to the end--

Any suggestions? Would you just consider these deadends and move on.
Thank you for any input.

Check Antenati records for that town. Use the Firefox Browser to do so because Google Chrome has issues with this website. Here is the link to Italian civilian records for that town:

https://antenati.cultura.gov.it/search- ... Sicilia%22

If you do not read Italian, use Google Translate - https://translate.google.com/?sl=auto&t ... =translate

They go back to 1821 for that town. Remember, marriage and death records can give you parents information when birth records do not exist for a person.
