I'm trying to find out more on the Anthony Falzone here:
He lived next door to my great grandparents in 1940 and I have multiple Falzone DNA matches. (Funny enough, 1 of those matches is named Anthony Falzone - different Anthony though of course!)
He was born in Costello Amari Ceddi, Italy which I guess is another name for Castellammare del Golfo. He was born 29 Sep 1881.
I tried to view the records on familysearch but got a restricted image message - didn't even say were available at a history center. And Antenati only has up to 1860.
Can anyone please help me find his parents so I can rule him in or out as being related to my line - the Falzones I seem to relate to were very mobile - originally from Palermo, moving to Agrigento and other branches Malta - so I can't rule him out based on location.

Thank you! Sadly though I couldn't find him in there - not sure if I'm doing something wrong or hes just not there.
For the Maria Santissima del Soccorso one the index too hard to read - so I skipped to sept 1881 but hes not there: https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903 ... 13&lang=en
For the San Antonio di Padova one, record is either at beginning or end of 1 of the links including 1881 - but again I don’t see it:

https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903 ... 784&lang=e
For the S. Maria del Padova one
the alphabetical index there seems to skip from D to G and not have any Fs.

The side note might refer to his marriage to Rosaria Donofrio(?).

Wow! TY so much! I think brides surname is Deanendris. I have to do more searching on her.
Can you make out what parents names are? Is that Vincenzo for father? I guess I should post it over in the translations form either way - need to know what it says in side margin!

I'd say Vincenzo and Concetta Innocenti.

Ty! No I didn't have that one - or at least I think I didn't. Seems like its a rule for Falzones to name their sons Anthony - theres 3 alone in the Niagara/Rochester area that I'm trying to untangle - I accidently added some stuff to one I shouldn't have and created an "ultimate Anthony Falzone."
That's very interesting his port for departure was Naples rather than Palermo. I always see Palermo.

Pescara is 2 hours from Rome - so maybe that does make sense geographically.

My grandfather came from Sicily and took a boat from Naples to America, as did most of his extended family over the years. I wouldn't read anything into it.lyn1982 wrote: 02 Nov 2025, 00:37
