help!!

i am trying to send a file, to the translations thread of this board, its a jpg file size 275 by 385, 31.9 kb, when i try to attach it, i get an error message come up!!
What am i doing wrong, im going mad here, been trying for over an hour!!Its a birth record i just got from Italy!!
