Monongah Stories

Post by nickcio »

Dear friends:

On December 1 of this year, our museum - The History Center in Pittsburgh, PA - will hold an educational symposium and exhibit commemorating the Monongah and Darr mine disasters of December 1907.

We are presently searching for stories from Italian American families who lost family members in those mine disasters.

In particular, we are searching for stories that can be illustrated with photographs or artifacts from Monongah that tell the story of immigrants and the mine disaster there.

Grazie Mille.

Hello Nicholas,

I lost a family member in the Monongah mine disaster of December 6, 1907.

Send my a PM and I can give you more information. Also, is Mr. Joseph D'Andrea involved in this event?
