Procopio's born in New Jersey and Pennsylvania

Over 25 million Italians have emigrated between 1861 and 1960 with a migration boom between 1871 and 1915 when over 13,5 million emigrants left the country for European and overseas destinations.

Procopio's born in New Jersey and Pennsylvania

Post by parretta »

Hi,

I am looking for relatives who's grandfather was Giuseppe Procopio. He was born in Isca Sullo Ionio, Catanzaro, Calabria, Italy. He immigrated to the United States at a very young age (less than 20 years old). he got married in the US and his chilfre were born in the US. He died in the 1970's. I am looking for his kids or grandkids. I know that his grand child was born in 1959.

thanks,

Andy

Hello-
I was playing around on the internet searching for Procopio and found your listing. I am not in NJ or PA, but the midwest. My grandfather was Leonardo Procopio and was born in what I believe as Il Capp Risuto Calabria. I am almost certain he had a brother Joe (Americanized?) who settled in NY (will ask my dad). I think there were about seven brothers in his family. If you want to contact me directly: terriprocopio@hotmail.com.

Hi Terri P.,

I dont think we are related because the Giuseppe Procopio I am writing about was from Isca Sullo Ionio, Calabria. Also, He was the only one of his siblings to immigrate to the united states. he immmigrated as a teenager and married here. Therfore, his kids were born here. At this moment, his kids would be in their 70's, 80's, 90's. I am looking for Giuseppe Procopio's kids or Grandkids. I know that his grandchild was born in 1959.

thanks,

Andy
