While researching the death records of a small town in Sicily I noticed that about 900 people died in 1 year (1867), much more than others years. I did an extensive search on the web and finally found a reference to a cholera epidemic.
Are there any sites that might easily put a historical perspecitive of what the people we are research were living through at the times?
As always, any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Michael

Ciao Laura,
Thank you so much for the link. The history of the epidemic helps me understand why so many people died. There is also allot more information there that will help me understand what was happening during these times.
Thanks again.
