Ellis Island web site

Post by Poipuo4 »

We all know about www.ellisisland.org, but I urge you to check out

http://www.saveellisisland.org/site/Pag ... e=homepage

It is a site dedicated to saving some of the buildings which are still in ruins, including the hospital, where many of our immigrant ancestors were detained.

Elllis Island was a huge help for me I was able to find the passenger manifest and what boat he came over on. They sent my both pictures of these. I owe Ellis Island for helping me find my family roots.

I feel the same way. It was only when that website of www.ellisisland.org was created that I was able to find the towns and names of many of my ancestors. I hope a lot of people will try to save the rest of the historical buildings on the Island.
