Maggiora Family of the Province of Asti

I am searching for any information on the family of my great-grandmother, Marietta Maggiora. Her parents were Guiseppe Maggiora and Paola Baldacci. Marietta married Clemente Freilino about 1880 in Asti.

Are you sure they were born in Asti and not in the province of Asti? Since all records are in the town of origin. The comune of Asti may or may not have civil records before Italy's unification so I would sughgest you go to www.comuni.it and seek out the comune address by going to the upper right hand corner and filling in Asti and seeing if they have a e-mail address and ask them if they have civil records of births,marriages and deaths as well as certiciates of Fasmily status before 1873.
