Italian Prisoners of War Devon England 1943-45

Post by Shannow »

I need help trying to find my wifes grandfather Who was in A british prisoner of war camp during the second world war. We have a patial name R. Pascale (Raffini). If anyone could help I am trying to locate the records that were sent to the Italian government in 1948. Which would list the men in each camp. As I am new to this Any help would be appreciated. I have contacted the Italian Embassy but as yet have received no reply

While I have additional information for Italian prisoners of war in the United States, I have nothing for England except the address in Italy to write to in the Italian Army archives for Italian POW's wjhich is the address I was informed is the same for Italian POW interned in the USA. This address is:

Ministero Della Difesa
Esercito - Direzione generale dei Servizi di Commissariato e
Amministrativi, Via XX Settembre No. 11, Rome, Italy.

I hope this helps you out.Should you come up with a valid surname and town or province of origin then I can assist further. Peter

I assume Raffini is the surname since you do not specify what name is what There are 137 Raffini currently residing in Italy and the majority 80% are between Bologna and Firenze cities and provinces. Peter
