Translation Request

Post by rp76226 »

I am first going to show what i received in Italian in an email, then what the translation came to in Google Translate, after i cleaned up non-wanted translation of names. There will be some obvious translation errors in english that don't make sense. I will put italics around them. Please tell me what it really should have said.

I told you, in Altamura, peers, in 1817 there are only 2 EVANGELIST NINIVAGGi's, cousins among them. One is married to Maria Petrara (the only marriage) and the other is widower of Cecilia Ferrullo and marries Teresa Frizzale, also called Rifino, the widow of Tommaso Spezzacatena (the only Frizzale family and the only Spezzacatena family in Altamura) on 24/12/1817 . The act of marriage says: "Evangelist Ninivaggi, "scavenger" (digger?), living on the street San Vincenzo 42, 33 years old, widower of Cecilia Ferrullo, "son of the elder" assisted by his mother Donata Incampo, 70, domiciled in this municipality and giving his consent , As his father Francesco died in this Commune on 23/11/1808 and Teresa Frizzale, 29 years old, living in Santa Chiara Street 17, the widow of Tommaso Spezzacatena, "the older daughter who was not assisted by any of her parents being dead", died Antonio 7 / 3/1803 and Mother Chiara Colonna dead 17/10/1811 in this municipality "
Evangelista's brothers and grandsons from all other acts (of marriage and death) find that the Evangelista's father was called Francesco Saverio. The acts are in line. There are only a few branches in the mid-eighties - perhaps 3 - Ninivaggi's for which it was easy to connect the brothers. The founder is Salvatore conjugated with Vita Visceglia. I send you a copy of the death of his son Giuseppe. I did not make copies of all the acts. If you associate with Google maps and put the man who moves you can see via Santa Chiara and Via San Vincenzo. Good day

Thank you. I am also looking for a better translation for the part that came out from Google Translate as:

"the older daughter who was not assisted by any of her parents being dead", died Antonio 7 / 3/1803 and Mother Chiara Colonna dead 17/10/1811 in this municipality

Re-reading it, is it saying that the bride had no one to walk her down the aisle because her parents had died in 1803 and 1811?

The bride, 29 years old, had reached the age of majority. She was not assisted by any of her parents being both dead in this municipality, the father Antonio on 7 / 3/1803 and the mother Chiara Colonna on 17/10/1811.
