Call or Write?

Over 25 million Italians have emigrated between 1861 and 1960 with a migration boom between 1871 and 1915 when over 13,5 million emigrants left the country for European and overseas destinations.

Call or Write?

Post by Drew927 »

Is it better to call or write the commune to request documents? I have a friend from Genoa who can make the call on my behalf, but I don't want to waste time and money if it is better to write.

Perhaps fax or e-mail might be the way to go for quick response.
The fax number is 010-5514604 for the Municipal offices for city of Genova and if you wish to send an e-mail then go to www.tuttitalia.it/liguria/45-genova and scroll down to the "www.comune ....." in blue and look for the Uffico di Stato Civile e-mail address. =Peter=

Peter,
Thanks for the info. Will other towns have a similar E-Mail address? I'm interested in Valle di Maddelloni and Dugenta.
