Does anyone have any information on Catherine Lo Vecchio, an opera singer from Baghueria, Sicily, who emigrated to New York with her husband, a Sicilian tenor named Vittorio, in the late 1930s?

Catherine Lo Vecchio's mother's name was Marietta Lo Vecchio. Does anyone know Marietta's maiden name and her husband's first name? Marietta and her husband had the following children: Marion (married name Curasi), Catherine, Anthony, and Ralph. Marietta later had another son Gino or Geno with another gentleman.

Thank you so much for your reply! These could be my relatives, but I believe my great grandmother Marietta died in Burbank, Ca (near Los Angeles). Marietta's daughter Marion (my grandmother) birthdate was August 1, 1912. Not sure if she was born in New York area or Italy. Her married name was Curasi. She and her husband Antonio (Anthony) had 6 children all born in the USA. I don't know the birth dates of Marietta's other children (Anthony, Ralph, and Catherine). I know Catherine was an opera singer in Sicily.

Do you see any other Marietta's born in Italy? I think possibly Bari or Napoi, but I'm not certain.

I'm so grateful for your help and findings! Now I am able to piece together the missing information on my family! This is so amazing and fun! Can you tell where Marietta Cavalli Lo Vecchio was born? It looks like she left Northern Italy for the USA about 1908/09, but I thought she was born in Bari. Maybe she moved there?
