Thank you Valarie,

I am looking for the Baptismal record of Caterina or Catterina Zara/Zorzi/Zago/Zorzo, born in Ponte di Piave, Treviso. Her father was Angelo. She was married to Angelo Bergamo, born in Ponte di Piave in 1842 or 1843. Also looking for their marriage record.

Hi Flavio!
This may help you write to the local parish
Valarie

Church addresses in Italy:
(comune/town name goes in the box on the right)

Italian form letters

includes:
Letter to a Parish Priest with some instructions:

and
Form Letter to a Parish Priest

(note: if you're going to include a donation, it should be in euros)

I'm not sure how far back their civil records may go.
You could try writing to the comune for her birth or marriage record

I'm every day near the town of Ponte di Piave.
I'll see If I can Help.
But remember that Ponte di Piave was completely destroyed during WWI (even the church), so it's possibile that all the registers at that date have been lost

Hi wishyou, Thank you for your message. I was told that the records are in the church of Busco di Ponte di Piave. I truly hope you can go there.
