Cristina Scialla born September 22, 1844,
Father Andrea, 36, son of Francesco, Lawyer, 36.
Mother Rosalia Della Corte, 30, daughter of the deceased Nicola.
Witnesses Mattia (60) and Michele (36) Nespoli, gardeners

Baptized the 23rd.

Andrea and Francesco have the title "Don", before their names, and Rosalia "Donna". This doesn't necessarily mean that they had a noble origin, but for sure they were wealthy and well considered in the town.

Thank you very much. This could be a sibling of my g grandmother. I haven't scanned her birth act yet but I expect to this week at the LDS center.
Your editorial comment is also appreciated. I find it exciting to view any historical facts about my ancestors. I'm not sure if I ever thought about the fact that lawyers even existed 166 years ago.
