Still no response from Commune - Next step? Wrong address?

Over 25 million Italians have emigrated between 1861 and 1960 with a migration boom between 1871 and 1915 when over 13,5 million emigrants left the country for European and overseas destinations.

Still no response from Commune - Next step? Wrong address?

Post by 5bellasmiths »

Hi everyone,
I still haven't heard from the commune on my GF's birth certificate. I sent a letter on January 16 and I know there was an election in March but I am getting really worried since it's the end of April and nothing. Should I send another letter? Can anyone tell me if I sent it to the write address. He was born in Orentano so I sent it to the Pisa commune at Comune di Castelfranco di Sotto, Piazza Remo Bertoncini, 1 - 56022, Castelfranco di Sotto – PISA, Italia
Thank you so much for taking the time to read this.

On microfilm the records appear to be with the town of Santa Croce dell'Arno. Orentano was a frazione of this town until 1910.
