DeFilippo/Spano Family

Post by soldi »

I am looking for any information about the DeFilippo/Spano surname and any family history.
The people I would like to research are my grandmother: Addolorata DeFilippo (maiden name Spano) and my grandfather, Antonio DeFilippo. My grandmother was born in Nov 1887 and died in 1976 and my grandfather was born in 1883 and died in 1928. They lived in Boston then Everett Massachusetts. My grandmother emigrated in 1919 with my mother Sabatina and three of her sisters. I believe they were born in Bellona, Italy. I never met my grandfather and have no info on him. Any help would be very much appreciated.

Valarie,
Thank you so much for the excellent information on my grandfather. Also the extra info from the manifest and the marriage record. Is there a copy of the marriage record?

Thanks again for your terrific research.

Hi Soldi!
The record is from the Town Record book - it's a list of marriages by date
I checked the FamilySearch Pilot site - I couldn't find it there.
