Cocuzzi & Polocci in Villavallelonga, Abruzzi

Post by katecannon »

I'm looking for information on parents of Crescenzio Cocuzzi b. 1847 and Lydia Polocci b 1850, Villavallelonga, Abruzzi. I know that Lyida's father's name was Pasquale Polocci (possibly Palocci) and her mother's name was Margaret (last name unknown). Can someone point me in the director of finding baptismal, marriage, or birth records from early to mid 1800's?
Thanks, Kate Cannon

There are currently two parishes which are listed when you do a search in the current Italian yellow pages. The first one appears to be in the town itself.

http://www.paginegialle.it/pgol/4-chies ... nd=abruzzi

Parrocchia S. Leucio e Nicola
83, STRADA MADONNA DELLE GRAZIE
67050 Villavallelonga (AQ)
Italia

tel: 0863 949398

Parrocchia S. Maria Nuova
VIA DELLA CHIESA
67050 Collelongo (AQ)
Italia

tel: 0863 413827

I don't see any microfilmed civil records for the town, so you will probably have to write a letter to one or both of these parishes. There are sample letters on the following website:
