Caneva Family from Forni Avoltri

I am looking for any information on the Caneva line from the Forni Avoltri area. Guiseppe A. Caneva was born in 1891 in Forni Avoltri came over to the states. His father (as far as we can tell) was Giovanni Caneva.

Any info would be a huge help!

We have some kind of document that is in Italian that we figure is a birth certificate... maybe it's a Birth Act. That's where we get Giovanni from... but it says Giovanni fu Giovanni. Any idea what that might mean?

Giovanni fu Giovanni = Giovanni son of the deceased Giovanni
