MEAOLO Family

Post by mealo »

My Grandfather Nicola Meaolo and his brother Francesco came to USA in 1905 and 1906. There parents may have been Filomena Marullo and Giuseppe Meaolo. Also of note were Josefa Meaolo born 8 Nov 1907 died Aug 1982 and Vincent Mealo born 7 Jul 1906 died Sep 1999. Both have US SSN and last address being Buenos Aires. I recall Dad saying that members of the family had relocated from the USA to Argintina. If you have any information that could help build the family tree please let me know. mailto:info@meaolo.info

You can go to the nearest family history library of the Mormon church and rent the microfilm for Larino, provincia Campobasso which covers all births, marriages and deaths from 1809 to 1900. Since you know thre family after 1900 your record will be complete back to 1809. prior to that youmust go tothe church records. but one thing at a time. Peter

Peter,
Thank you for the information I checked out the Argintine directory and got those numbers. I will follow up with a letter to them. I also found a meaolo on ICQ. So I sent them an E-Mail. The first name seemed Argentinian. I found a FHC center in Maryland I can go to next week. Thanks again --Bob

There is a companion book Discovering Your Italian Ancestors by Lynn Nelson whcih assists inviewing the microfilm and it be handy to bring along a magnifying glass to discern some of the turnof xentury script. Peter
