Naturalization Documents

Over 25 million Italians have emigrated between 1861 and 1960 with a migration boom between 1871 and 1915 when over 13,5 million emigrants left the country for European and overseas destinations.

If I can obtain Naturalization documents from the NARA in NYC do i still need to get them from the USCIS?

Which do the Consulate in Miami require?

The Miami consulate's website specifically says a copy of the certificate of naturalization is required. If that is so, then you must go to USCIS as that is the only agency which can provide that particular document.

A few years ago, New York accepted a certified ("This is a true copy of an official record") copy of the Petition for Naturalization with completed Oath of Allegiance section, obtained from county archives, as sufficient evidence of date of naturalization.

Your mileage may vary.
