Help translating email to cousin

Post by Squigy »

(Her Name),

Upon searching for (family's name) living in (town name), I found your name. You see, my grandmother is a (family name), and her family is from (town). I am interested in finding relatives in Italy. My great great grandfather was (GGGrandfather), born 1880 in (town). The son of (GGGGrandfather and GGGGrandmother). He came to America in 1902, but he had two brothers and a sister who stayed in Italy. They were (Uncle's name), (Uncle's name), and (Aunt's name). (Uncle) was born around 1885, and fought for Italy in World War I.

I don't know anything more about Francesco. Angela was married to a man named (Uncle's name). Do any of these names sound familiar? Any help you can give me is much appreciated.

Yours Truly,
(My name)

I have been offered forum letters, but these don't contain specific information that I want to give her. Thanks for anyone who can help.

(Her Name),

Sto cercando parenti in Italia.

Non so altro su Francesco.

Cordialmente,
(My name)

This Italian looks pretty bad to me, but here is my best effort:

Hello, how are you? we are family..we ask ourselves but how old you are? Where exactly did your great great grandfather live, do you know? what do you do again? what kind of work do you do? greetings from all.

It was sent via Facebook, so it was casual writing. My family is the same way!

Thanks for the help!
