As I said, I am reading, Island Of Hope, Island of tears. I finished it today. My Grandfather who came from Italy is one of a stories that could have been in this book. He came over very young. Like 12 or so (different stories there) any way, he knew very little English to read or write. He worked at a fruit stand (want to find out more about that) and by the time he was in his teens, had his OWN construction company and became a millionair a few times..He was a very hard worker, never flaunted what he had and helped others. My Grandmother would make box lunches and give it to the poor people that came knocking at the back door..another success story, there r alot of them..
