SICILY 1647-1670

As a nation state, Italy has emerged only in 1871. Until then the country was politically divided into a large number of independant cities, provinces and islands. The currently available evidences point out to a dominant Etruscan, Greek and Roman cultural influence on today's Italians.

Peter,

I must ask this because you have the price quoted... is that a lot for a book like this, or is that about the average for that kind of info? I WAS going to be looking for books.. maybe I should just go to the used book store.. *smacking head*.

Thank you for the two fotos...The book is a collectors item and will cost about $200 for US$. It is for people who are collecting or perhaps the mormon church will buy it if they see it published around. What a pleasure to look into those eyes. Peter

Well that explains it. Collectors items (anything collectible) is usually on the high end.

Your more than welcome. You also have a pm.

Sounds like a fascinating set. Apparently in three volumes. The mormons haven't filmed it, but they do have it hardcover. If only I had the money.

I only see them listed as books
http://www.familysearch.org/Eng/Library ... umns=*,0,0

Maybe they (the films) are categorized differently, if you do a search by the author as well (Filadelfo Mugnos) you only see that listing. If they were filmed I would order them as I have two early sicilian noble lines i'm trying to get info on.

I must confess the mormons out here are like everybody else...they can't think out of the box...and I see from your settings it is a book in 3 volumes but they swore upand down that the 945 series are micorfilm. I rely more upon your judgement than the Stepford wives that abound here in droves.

Hi

I saw your posting concerning the MUGNOS book set.

I don't know where you are, however, thought you would be interested to know that there is a full set of this book in the Library of Congress.

I used it to research my own familly

It is the original book, not the reprint
