Re: Can someone translate?
the father Costantino was deceased. The only age given was that of the deceased which was 46.
Re: Can someone translate?
he died in a hospital located at # 1 Piazza Municipio
Re: Can someone translate?
he died yesterday on the Sept 17th (record is dated the 18th) 1877
Re: Can someone translate?
Thanks Maestra. What I am needing to clear the confusion of the names, i.e. Guiliano?
And the notation on the side.
Thanks

Re: Can someone translate?
In the body of the record it reads Guiliano Bottiglio and in the notation on the side appears to be a correction made by the tribunal-court in Naples-that the name should read Ciriaco Bottillo. I am trying to make out the date of the correction
Re: Can someone translate?
hard to read but it seems that the court made the decision concerning the correction the previous (last Oct 20th). The information about him being Elisabetta's husband remained the same.
Re: Can someone translate?
after Elisabetta's last name in the annotation is the name of the town Castellammare di Stabia
Re: Can someone translate?
I see Consiglio della giunta after the name of the civil tribunal of Naples
Re: Can someone translate?
Thank you again.
It is wild looking up this family. The surnames vary so much, Battiloro, Bottiglia, Battiglio, Bottello, Bottillo, Battillo. I will say finally settled, after 1850, on either Battillo or Battello. Some of the other family records I found had corrections as well but I could at least read most of them. All had to do with name changes in some way or another.
It took some time to make sure they were in fact of the same family line.

Re: Can someone translate?
Well, the name on this record was definitely changed by the civil court in Naples
Re: Can someone translate?
Have a nice weekend too. I'll probably be online again later, but have to go for now.
