Thanks Maestra. What I am needing to clear the confusion of the names, i.e. Guiliano?

And the notation on the side.

Thanks

In the body of the record it reads Guiliano Bottiglio and in the notation on the side appears to be a correction made by the tribunal-court in Naples-that the name should read Ciriaco Bottillo. I am trying to make out the date of the correction

hard to read but it seems that the court made the decision concerning the correction the previous (last Oct 20th). The information about him being Elisabetta's husband remained the same.

Thank you again.

It is wild looking up this family. The surnames vary so much, Battiloro, Bottiglia, Battiglio, Bottello, Bottillo, Battillo. I will say finally settled, after 1850, on either Battillo or Battello. Some of the other family records I found had corrections as well but I could at least read most of them. All had to do with name changes in some way or another.

It took some time to make sure they were in fact of the same family line.

Well, the name on this record was definitely changed by the civil court in Naples
