Have another question my mum and her younger brother had bank accounts opened by there parents in Italy when they were very young, is there nay way of finding out where they were and if they still exist as mum and her brother never touched these accounts but cant remember much about them except they had them.

This link will take you to the Lds page to locate a library near you.
If you are interested in sending to the town of origin for any records,
this site also offers letters in Italian. There are also other sites to obtain
letters written in Italian.
Another idea is to send potential relative letters to the town of origin by
locating addresses for persons with the surnames you are researching.
Several posters have located relatives this way and one was sent family trees. Just a thought.........

You did say Dominic worked for the Ford motor company, which is located in Michigan.....do you have any time frame for his death? How old was your grandfather? Was your uncle older or younger? This may be a looong shot...........but here it is..........
