Someone just asked a similar question and they inspired me to ask this- maybe I'll have some luck too!
My family lived on via maddalena in Alife, which is in Caserta.
Specifically, they lived at via maddalena #'s 14 and 21.
I have zoomed in on all the maps and don't see this street.
Does via maddalena still exist?
Maybe someone from the Alife area will see this and know the answer.
Thanks!
Aliza

Re: Specific street in Alife, Caserta
Ciao ALIZA!
For nearly 40 years, the ancient name of the street (Via Maddalena) has been changed. Today the street is called Via Michelangelo Iafusco General or, more simply, Via Iafusco.
I hope that I have been helpful in your search.
Greeting from Alife, the town of your origin and by myself.

I just found your post about via Maddalena in Alife. This is amazing! I have been working on my family genealogy for about 2 years. I found the civil birth records for Alife on Ancestry.com and I have been disecting them ever since looking for my family ties. Anyways, some of my family members, that were born in the late 1800's lived on via Maddalena.
My younger siblings just took our 69 year old Father to Italy for the first time. We went to Alife and visited the village. Long story short my research took us to our family home and united us with our third cousin!!!
I am hoping to find someone on this site that can help me with further research as I have hit a wall with my research. I need to go back but you know how that goes. I probably will not go back until late next year.
I look forward to hearing from you or anyone else that can help me with my family research in Alife.
Sincerely,
Tammy
