I was wondering if I could get a little help translating this death record:

It's for the man on the bottom right of the page (Domenico Rossano).

I'm having trouble reading his age, and the words right after his wife (Maria Tessitore's) name.

I would be very grateful if some could help translate what it says right below the name Maria Tessitore (below the area where it says Numero 266).

I can't make out all the words but it starts out by saying that "the present register of Part I of deaths contains act #266... of this first day of Jan 1901 by me the undersigned Cavalier Giuseppe Foglia, mayor and official of the civil state of this town.

I am trying to decipher the words I missed. I do now see the word chiuso for closed

I think the word after that is nel

It seems that, even though the record is dated Dec 31, 1900, it was recorded in the register on Jan 1, 1901. The record before it though, dated only an hour earlier, wasn't. So there must have been a cutoff time.

I think the words are "chiuso nel mattino di questo giorno primo"-closed in the morning of this first day of Jan 1901

I think I understand. Is it basically saying it was recorded a day after it says it was?

The handwriting on these records can be so hard to read sometimes!
