Have I received "official" documents?

Post by garyf »

Hello everyone,

I received my great grandmothers and great grandfathers birth certificates and marriage certificate from Italy. I am having a hard time knowing if they are "official" documents. The form is in various languages, including English, and the information (name, DOB, etc) is hand written on the form. There are 2 stamps on the bottom. One is round that looks like the comune seal and the other is a stamp of what looks like a name and a hand written signature through it.

What do you think? Does this seem like official documents?

Thanks!

According to your description they are official multi-lingual documents.
