Why am I suddenly finding it impossible to display a url in a post?
Trying here: http://www.google.com
I clicked the "url" button above and then typed "http://www.google.com" between the tags. Nothing shows?

It looks like a bug: whatever you write between the tags "" and "" will disappear.johnnyonthespot wrote:Why am I suddenly finding it impossible to display a url in a post?

Just write: http://www.google.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Yes; the problem is when posting image links like those from http://postimage.org" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;. The links look like this:liviomoreno wrote: It looks like a bug: whatever you write between the tags "" and "" will disappear.
Just write: http://www.google.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

The link change has been undone. I will take a further look.

Re: Test - Posting url's
It looks like I have to leave the link function as it is. Not only because the change I tried to make does not work 100% but also because of the W3C standard the forum software is based on.
About W3C: http://www.w3.org/Consortium/
What does W3C say about links: http://www.w3.org/TR/WCAG-TECHS/G200.html
If you prefer to open a link in a new tab, select the link by middle-click (wheel).
- left-click to open a link in the same tab
- middle-click (wheel) the link to open a links in a new tab
- right-click the link and select 'open in new tab' to open a link in a new tab
I hope this info helps to open a link in the preferred way.
