Bufalaro family

Post by charlotte »

Domenico Bufalaro born 1888 Italy (I do not know where) married my aunt Olinda Elizabeth Sturla born 1890 Sheffield, South Yorkshire, England at St Vincents , Sheffield Feb 14 1912.
He was in WW1 in the Italian army, hit by shrapnel and had a scar on his face from this.
His father was Eirnia Joseph born 1835, he and family settled in Sheffield.
His brother Alexander born 1876 Cisterna di Roma, Latino, Lazio married Antonella Grossi born 1883 Liverpool, Lancashire.
Brother Achille born 1881 later emigrated to America and died in 1963 at Nowalk, Fairfield, Connecticutt.
Sister Anastasia born 1884 Italy married Carmine Massarella in Sheffield. I have much info of her as the Massarella family are close relations to my family.
Brother Michele born 1891 Cisterna di Roma, Latino, Lazio.
It may seem a tall order to ask for any info re Eirnia (who was his wife?)and all these brothers but it would really fill in many blanks as to their earlier life in Italy.
I say a big thank you to anyone who would be kind enough to help.

Eirnia does not sound as an Italian name, where did you get it from? Have you got a document with this name on it? If yes, I suggest that you post it and maybe we can decipher the correct name...

Sorry, got a bit confused!
Joseph Bufalaro b 1835 died 1990, was the father and his wife seems to be as you say Erminia.
Has any one any info pre dates settling in Sheffield please?
Thankyou for you replies
