Skala family help

Post by ibeirish »

Hey guys, I could use some help in finding some info on my relatives:

* Karel "Charles" Skala was born 21 Jun 1881 in Malotice, Central Bohemia, Czech Republic.
* He died on Oct 1964 in Illinois.
* He was married to Barbora "Barbara" Hruby (born abt 1879 in Malotice, Central Bohemia, Czech Republic).
* They had 9 children:
- Mary
- Charles
- Anthony
- Louis
- Josef
- Joseph
- John
- Towny
- ? Unknown name

Now some of the children died very young so I haven't been able to find much on the children. I would love to find out more about Karel and Barbora, and what kind of people they were. I know Karel was a tailor in Chicago, but don't really know much more. I would also like to find out where their final resting places are, as well as if they had any passports/ photos of them on a document.

Thanks so much!,
Ashley

I need your guys' help on finding Barbara and Karel "Charles" Skala. The last thing I know about their residency was 66409 S. Green St. in Chicago in 1954 (found this in a newspaper interviewing them for their 50th wedding anniversary). Now from what I know, Karel "Charles" died in October of 1964 (I don't know what day), in Illinois (I assume in Cook County), and I have no clue as to when Barbara died, I'm guessing in the same area. I do know that a son of theirs is buried in the Bohemian Cemetery (his name was Josef Skala, and yes his name was spelt that way) because his death certificate is located on the familysearch.org website. Is it possible if Barbara and Karel are buried there as well??????
