I'm looking for futher information of families Materazzo (Matarazzo) and Scafidi (Scafide) from Santa Marina or Malfa.
In particular my ancestors are Antonio Materazzo B. about 1874 and Caterina Scafidi b. about 1884. and Caterina's sister Nunziata Scafidi.

I am searching for information regarding my Grandfather Dominic Scafidi. And my grand mother Marina Natoli Scafidi. Dominic was born 1888 or 1889. From Santa marina Salinas. I think much property was left to the church. I am particularly looking to find any info about my grandfather's family. Both I believe we're born on the island. I believe the Napoli family owned a exporting company back in the day.

Domenico Bartolo Scafidi (b. 23 Sep 1887 in Santa Marina, Salina) is my 1st cousin 3x removed, who married Marina Natoli on 15 Jul 1917 in Kings, New York, USA. Marina was born around 1893 in Santa Marina, Salina. If this is a match, I've gone back a few generations so I'd be happy to share. We have family in the USA and Australia, as well as Santa Marina, Salina.
