Looking for family of ROMEO RONCONI

hello: my mother, Gloria Unti divorced my father, Romeo Ronconi, in 1949. I was one year old. I believe his mother's name was Rita Ronconi (who died in 1975, Los Angeles, CA). I do believe he isn't alive anymore (born 1912). I never knew my father's family and I don't know if he had any other children. I would like to meet brothers or sisters that I may have from his side of the family. Can anyone help me? I have researched a bunch of links to no avail. Grazie! Carla (California)

Given that you now have his date and place of death, you might begin by trying to obtain a copy of his obituary.

I suggest you start by contacting the Los Angeles Public Library and ask the research librarian if they will review newspaper archives and send a copy of any obituary they might find. Ronconi family 1920 and 1930 censues. Romeo Jr had a significantly older brother and sister. One wonders if Rita was Romeo Sr's second wife...

In fact, she obviously must have been. In 1920, Rita is 34 years old and yet has a 23 year-old son and 21 year-old daughter.

At the very least, you may have step-brothers/sisters. It seems reasonable to think that Edna Greene may have had children of her own prior to her marriage to Romeo at age 37. Hopefully you will find a detailed obituary which will answer some of these questions.

Romeo's second wife, perhaps??

I don't know, maybe this is too much of a stretch; there seem to be several Edna Green's in California. But still, it is possible.

i am using their "free trial" and have found Rome and Edna's marriage info and census stuff on her but as i poked around with other family members, including myself, i found wrong birth and marriage dates, wrong cities and/or just inaccurate information....odd, yes?

But each time there's another ingredient for me to think about... thanks.
