Advice for visiting Italy

Post by crmoore »

Hello!

Does anyone reading this know if there are people in Italy who will accompany me to a specific town in search of information about my ancestors? I guess I'm looking for a translator to work with my for a couple of days. I know the exact town (and in fact house) that my family lived, however I can not speak Italian and thus have not been able to do any kind of investigation when I've visited before.

The town is Volpara which is a hamlet within Albera Ligure in the province of Alessandria (northern Italy, southwest of Milano).

Any advice would be appreciated.

The expats website has a message board......the members mantain dual citizenship, live and work in various parts of Italy. I am sure they would be able to provide assistance. Enjoy your trip!!
