Manfredi to Humphreys

My ggrandfather b1858 came to England from Italy between 1881-1885.
Twenty years on he changed the family name from Manfredi to Humphreys/Humphries
At a similar time as he emigrated, his brother/s went to the US.

I have research my ggrandfather as far as it can go and all I can say is that
he came from somewhere in Genoa.

My question is, are there any Humphrey/s/Humphries out there in the US
who have had their ancestors change their name from Manfredi?

My G grandfather left IT (Torre Del Lago) in 1903. In 1936 naturalized to a US citizen and changed his name from Samuele MANFREDI to Mose FREDY. I know this doesn't have a connection to Humphreys but thought I might throw it out there.
