Thanks.
First, i wanted to know , what is the signification of all those letters in the next sentence :
CIRALDI GIACOMO 31 M W ITAL NJ UNION 3-WD; WESTFIELD 1920
CIRALDI LOUIS 33 M W ITAL CT NEW HAVEN 3-WD WATERBURY 1930.

*Giuseppe/Joseph Savino : he went to the USA various time, he was born toward 1885 son of Nicola in Acerenza Italy, and his first wife was called VACCARO Maria Caterina(she died between 1910-1919).He was Italian.I think he married again

*Matteo Bruscella, was Italian, he was born between 1830-1840, he was son of Pasquale, his wife was Lapolosa(LApelosa) Anna-Maria.

-Concerning the ciraldi, are the only informations or there are others (place of birth for example)?
-Moreover, can you tell me why the ciraldi who emmigrated , before 1910 are not in the census of 1910.
-I also wanted to know if CIRALDI GIACOMO and his wife are still in 1930 in the census thanks

Antonio,
Successful census research research can depend on knowing what state and county a person lived in. In a perfect world the census taker would write down, in neat readable handwriting, the exact spelling of each person who lived in a dwelling. They would use a pen that did not run, blur or fade. They would speak the same language as the person who provided the information. The census records would be microfilmed in perfect focus. The census indexer would be able to read all the names as they were given and no errors would be made in transcription. Unfortunately, this is not true. If we know where to look, we can search more creatively for the person.

CIRALDI GIACOMO 31 M W ITAL NJ UNION 3-WD; WESTFIELD 1920
Last name: Ciraldi
First name: Giacomo
Age: 31 years
Sex: Male
Color: White
Place born: Italy
State of Census: New Jersey
County: Union
Town: Westfield
Enumeration District: 3rd WArd
Year of Census: 1920

I performed a "casual search",..........as I stated, more details would enable us here at the forum to correctly identify your ancestors. Wife and any known children, as well as the State they lived in.

As for the Ciraldi, I searched on exact spelling......as Deb pointed out, there are errors in the census, misspellings are common. It is possible there are other Ciraldi with names misspelled.....

Not all census years are indexed by name....some of them must be scrolled thru page by page......time consuming if you don't know the state/county/town they resided in.....

To summarize:

You want to find in the 1910 - 1920 cenus:

SAVINO Giuseppe(Joseph), born about 1885 in Acerenza Italy
and his first wife was called VACCARO Maria Caterina married in 1907. She died 1910-1919

Giuseppe probably went to New York.
They had a son Nicola, who stayed in Italy.

Did Maria come to the United States with Giuseppe?
Did Giuseppe and Maria marry in Italy or US?

Your english is fine, we can understand you. Just trying to check the details on who we need to find.

So you want to find in the census 1910-1920:

SAVINO Giuseppe(Joseph), born about 1885 in Italy, probably living in New York.

I can look, but have no way of identifying "your" Giuseppe from another Giuseppe born about 1885 in Italy. What do you hope to find on the census that will help in your research?
