Baptism record-Rosa Basso 1887

Post by Haztek »

Record #723 Rosa Basso
30 May 1887
Father: Giovan Battista Basso son of Domenic
Sponsors: Benedict Basso son of Joseph
Maria Basso daughter of Giovan Battista
San Martino Parish, Tribogna, Italy.

Not sure what this line after Domenici means: et Aloysia (Louise ?) De Domo Magna filice Bernado conjugum nata die proma ? means? The mother's name should be Luigia Casagrande, but I don't see it listed?
Thanks, Jerry

This is really incredible: the priest literally translated mother's surname into Latin :
"et Alojsia de Domo Magna filiae Bernardi coniugum nata die prima Maji hora prima vesperi"
"and of Luigia Casagrande daughter of Bernardo, spouses, born May 1st at 1 p.m."

Casa (house) is "domus" in Latin, and "grande" (large) is "magna".
Thanks, Jerry
