Dear lag031,

There are many who read this board who do not speak and read English as their first language. If you could begin sentences with capital letters and use punctuation, it would make it much easier for others to also help you. Please, do not be offended by this suggestion. It is only meant to make it easier for others to read your posts.

Hi There,

There isn't microfilm for the town of Ogliastro Cilento, Italy. You will have to write to the directly for information.

I suggest that you try to have as much information of your ancestors ahead of time such as the full name of your ancestors and approximate years they were born.

You should try to have some census information, death certificates, marriage certificates, and any other type of document that could help you with names and dates.

In order to write to the town itself. The letter needs to be in Italian and don't forget to send two International Return Coupons that you get at the Post Office for about $1.80 each.

The address for the town is.

Ufficio dello Stato Civile
Comune di Ogliastro Cilento
84061 OGLIASTRO CILENTO SA
ITALY

Tel. 0974 833004 - Fax 0974 833004

The link below will help you write a letter in Italian. Just fill in the blanks.

I hope this helps.
