There's great help here at this forum. You need to provide more information for us to zero in better...

Which Petrucci's are you looking for? Name of spouse, children

What is the year of birth?

Where did they settle after immigration (when if you know...)?

Have you looked for any boat records?

Where in Italy did they come from?

YOu state you are helping a friend. Have you done any census research and located the family? Maria asked some very good questions that have to be answered before we can help you. Please add details and tell us what research has been done while helping your friend.

:?:

I'm looking for my Grandfather. I have two conflicting given names, James & Vincent surname Petruccio. He lived in Cleveland Ohio in the early 1900's. Married Rose De Tomaso. Don't know when. They had at least 4 surviving kids, Dominic Anthony, Gus, Lucille & Adaline, one or two others died in the flu epedemic of 1918. All siblings are now dead. 1930 cenus doesn't list grandfather. It has Rose as widowed. Gus was born in Italy in 1899. I'm having a terrible time getting birth certificates for my father, Dominic & Lu.
Can antone help??? :?: :?:

I've been trying to get them from Ohio. My Dad was born in 1902 in Cleveland. Their records start at 1908! & my Aunt Lu was born in 1906. As for Gus, I haven't a clue as to where to start.
Any help would be great!

Thanks

Ohio started keeping records in 1867 on a county level. Some counties even earlier. You may have to check Cuyahoga county as well as Cleveland. I have done some research in Cleveland records and their were notes about missing records.

HI;
Has someone found something about Petrucci? My grand-mother was Faustina Petrucci from Vico Pancellorum or Bagni Di Lucca. Born June 23, 1903. Her father was Pietro Petrucci and mother was (I think) Adèle Vitali. I would like to find ancestor of Pietro or Adèle.
My grand-mother married Eliseo Zerbini in 1920 and he was the son of Cherubino Zerbini and Catherina Barsanti. Again I would like to find ancestor of Cherubino and Catherina also from Bagni di Lucca or Ponte Maggio or Vico.
Any help would be great!
Thank you
Lucie

Hello Lucie,
you can request the copy of birth act of your grandmother.
On this document there is written names of parents and age.
With these informations you can research in the past easily, trying to find Pietro and Adele birth act, where there is written names and ages of each parent of them.
I hope I was clear
bye Riccardo

Lucie,
if you use the dates on the tombstones, it can be really helpful to reach the birth, marriage and death record of your ancestors, also having the name of the town, you can easily write to the civil record office,
