Basilicata Travels and Questions about records Ruoti, Potenz

Hi:

We are traveling to Potenza, Italy next month and I need help with a list of things that may help to find our family. My Great Granfather was, Angelo Vito Telesca, and his wife, Catarina Cutinello are maybe from Ruoti or Avigliano, we are not sure. On all the paperwork I have from the US it just says that Angelo was from Italy. Catarina was never a US Citizen and I have only the marriage paperwork. Last names as spelled on the marriage are Copodana, Cutinello, Triano or Triane. I thought I would start at the records department in Potenza and then try to get into some of the Churches in Potenza, Ruoti and Avigliano and see if there are in records there. Does anyone have any advie that may be helpful?

Angelo Vito Telesca leaves from Naples on Oct. 21st 1911 and arrives at ellis Island on Nov. 4th 1911 (ship Duca degli Abruzzi)
He declares to 18 years old, and to be born in Atella, last permanent residence Avigliano

Thank you so much for the reply. This is not the folks I am seeking. My Angelo came to America in 1883, his records have been found at Castle Garden. On Catarina and Angelo's marriage certificate it states they were married January 5, 1893 in NYC. Thank you again for your time.

I will use the letters, they will come in very handy.
