Looking for any information on my great grandmother Teresena Martucci(o). born:January 12, 1880 in Salerno. Daughter of: Michele Martuccio and Antonia Garofalo. We are not sure the Garofalo is correct since it was interpreted from a wedding document. Had at least 1 brother - Giovanni Anthony Martuccio. Village: Sant'Angelo a Fasanella in Salerno.
She immigrated to America before 1897 because she married a Saverio Amantea from Motta Santa Lucia in Calabria.

I sent for a death certificate and church records from where she was married. Awaiting those documents! Appreciate any help!

Do you think the catholic church in the village would have records from that time period?

I think that the records are in the municipality and in the Archivio di Stato. But Tomorrow I 'll call to municipality and I 'll ask it.
