Does anyone know where the surname Garomono comes from in Italy? I'm trying to help a friend and can't even find anything like it on Ellis Island but Garomone.

there is no listing for garomono in the list of italian names.
there is no garomone in the italian phone directory.
there are two listings in the italian phone directory for garamone, both are in the province of napoli.
