in a previous post it was suggested to use postimage.org as the board is not accepting uploaded images.

could someone take me through the steps to using this. i obviously am doing something wrong.

Use the browse option to locate your file or image I usually keep my files in pictures or documents file click on file to upload hit family safe icon then upload it button go down to Thumbnail for Forums (1) click copy right mouse button and paste to your post
