Looking for someone to locate records for me

Over 25 million Italians have emigrated between 1861 and 1960 with a migration boom between 1871 and 1915 when over 13,5 million emigrants left the country for European and overseas destinations.

Looking for someone to locate records for me

Post by raphaeldidonato »

Hello all,
I am relatively new to this board. I am an American in the final stages of applying for dual Italian citizenship and have posted in the genealogy section and received a lot of help and information about my family history and the various surnames they used. What I need help with now is obtaining their birth and marriage certificates from Abruzzo - I have tried writing the various comuni with which the family was associated but they haven't found anything. Does anybody know of somebody or a service in Italy, preferably in Abruzzo, who can locate these records for me? I am willing to pay for their retrieval and any expenses incurred.

If someone can help me out with this I would greatly appreciate it!

Best,
Raphael

Raphel,

I was referred to the following gentleman by Traci on this forum.

He responded to me quickly and his prices are reasonable. I have not used him yet as I do not know my comunes but emailing him and inquiring costs zip!

Please let him know that Lisa, aka catshouse2 referred you.
Thanks!
