pozzo alto, pesaro

Post by mtballard »

I am trying to find info on the following location:

Pozzo Alto, Pesaro, Pesaro e Urbino, Marche

My great grandmother and family were from the village of Pozzo Alto. Is it part of the commune Pesaro? I know Pesaro is in the province of Pesaro e Urbino. I am wanting to order civil registry microfilm and I can't locate any microfilm for commune Pesaro on the LDS website. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Dear mtballard,
since there is only a microfilm about birth in Pesaro in 1866, this means that there were not registry,or they are lost, burned or destroyed.
I suggest you to write to municipality of Pesaro, because Pozzo Alto is a village belonging to the town of Pesaro

Municipio
Piazza Del Popolo, 1
61100 Pesaro (PU)

urp.comune.pesaro@comune.pesaro.ps.it
decentramento@comune.pesaro.ps.it

or Archivio di Stato di Pesaro

http://wwwdb.archivi.beniculturali.it/S ... 2PESARO%22

I hope it helps, bye ricbru

Dear ricbru,

Thank you for your help! I really hope the registry wasn't destroyed. I will be at a dead end if nothing exists. I will email the references you gave.

Thanks again,
Trish

Dear ricbru,

I emailed this address: urp.comune.pesaro @ comune.pesaro.ps.it

I asked them about vital records for my great grandmother, Maria Massanelli, and her brother, Giuseppe. I was suprised to get a response from them. They emailed birth records for both. I knew their father's name was Domenico, but I now know their mother's name, Teresa Massanelli. I was so happy they responded!

What I am wondering is if vital records do exist, why doesn't LDS have any microfilm for Pesaro? It is such a big commune of Pesaro e Urbino, it just doesn't make sense that LDS would not have any records.

The second email address you referenced: decentramento @ comune.pesaro.ps.it, what office is this? The first one was the Public Relations Office of Pesaro Town Hall. That is how the emailed was signed.

Thank you again for those email addresses!!

Hello,
I think the mormon have been not allowed to microfilmed the records,

write to Archivio di Stato of Pesaro

http://wwwdb.archivi.beniculturali.it/S ... 2PESARO%22

About the decentramento, it is a vital record and town hall office, for those big towns who need to give this kind of service to people leaving in the other side of town.
I hope it helps, bye ricbru

I believe they are digitizing them now! I can't wait for this. They don't give a specific timeline but hopefully they will be released soon!

Does anyone have the "updated" email address to the above request?

I got a bounce back when I tried to send an email to:

urp.comune.pesaro@comune.pesaro.ps.it

thanks.
