Mother .........Calcagno
After death Mother Calcagno married Mozzarello and had a son Remo who died on a building site.
Brother of Dante was Leonardo Giordano married a french woman Matilda. Children Luciano and Remondina. Living in Marseilles France. Leonardo died from Emphasima at 74.
GUISEPPINA GIORDANO BORN 25.3.1905
Father Guieseppe Giordano died at 73 from bronchitis
lMother Santina died at 60 from encephalitis
Children: Oreste died at 18 in WW1 from typhoid
Maria born 1903 single
Giovanna born 1917 died 1988 throat cancer
Giovanna married Maggiora Costa, one son Aldo born 1957 lives in Treville a transport driver

Arrived on ship "Moncaliere". As spoken by Nonna there were Moslem slaves at the back of the ship headed for Colombo. Arrived through Torres Straight to Townsville in 1922. Lived with Dante's Aunt - Righetti (his Mothers sister). Then it goes on to life in Australia. Cane cutting, owning their own farms etc.
I would like to find Aldo Costa born in 1957 who is probably the only living relative we have over there.
Both from Treville, Piedmonte

I used www.whitepages.com.au and found two A Costas living in Brisbane, but none in Townsville. If you have trouble finding them on the whitepages site I will email you the addresses I could find.

Thanks for the info, but I still believed he lived in Treville. Worth looking into. It is Aldo Costa.
That was all the info I had from Nonna before she died. Very little family left, except Mother and Uncle here in Brisbane, and Gold Coast.

on www.paginebianche.it site there is one Aldo Costa listed as living in Treville. Have you tried that site? Perhaps he is the Aldo you are looking for.

The White Pages would be the obvious place to look. I couldn't find it. White Pages I mean in Italy. Anyway a shoe shop man. Should be interesting, at least I am in the right place. Will write and see what happens. You are a treasure.
By the way, when I looked up the name all over Australia I came up with about 100.
I hope he can read English. Will send copies of photos. I can only understand Piedmontese spoken, but my Uncle in Brisbane will be able to help.
